Recently, the pesticide research group of the Plant Protection Research Center of the Tobacco Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences has successfully developed an integrated machine for tobacco topping and bud suppression after three years of iterative upgrades, which can efficiently complete tobacco topping and quantitative bud suppression. The research results provide important technical support for pesticide reduction and harm control in tobacco-producing areas.

The developed device combines the dual functions of topping and quantitative bud suppression. The operation is simple, the working time is four seconds, and the topping and quantitative bud suppression of a single plant can be completed, which greatly improves the work efficiency compared with manual work. In addition, this machine also integrates functions such as free adjustment of the spraying amount and blade disinfection, which can meet the needs of different smoking areas.

The research results break through the technical bottleneck of traditional topping and bud suppression, which not only saves time and labor, but also reduces the use of pesticides and the rate of excess residues, providing important support for improving the effectiveness of tobacco green prevention and control and helping rural revitalization.
